Ok,

So it will go first to Philip then to John (who gets first pick among all the stuff Philip will add!).

Cheers

So Philip is entitled to 2 boxes and other people aren't ? Strange. I received mine from Philip the other day.

Man, do I have to be BEFORE Philip???

Kirsten, no probs, just be a bit more patient and it'll come back to you. It's true that a lot of people have not seen anything yet. And having it later doesn't necessarily mean it will not contain anything to your taste..

OK - last one in the queue. Didn't mean to "sound" impatient. Seems I misunderstood something - I thought that the smaller one here in Europe had been started by someone else.

Dear all,

The Space Goodies Box has surfaced!
It arrived here today and I was amazed at the amount of interesting stuff there is..

I took one of the Apollo 8 covers, the Apollo 15 patch, one of the issues of Spaceflight, the Apollo 15 "X", and one of the Crippen-signed space shots cards.

I added several lithos and photos, an autograph from astronaut Jean-François Clervoy, one from cosmonaut Feoktistov and one from veteran cosmonaut Viktor Gorbatko. I also added an ESA pen and a fragment of a real meteorite (no, not a lunar one, sorry!).

On top of those there are lots of other nice items in the box - stamps, covers, patches etc.. something for everyone I guess.

If I remember correctly I'll pass it on to Philip in Belgium who will subsequently ship it back to the US. I'll mail it soon but first need to buy a new box as this one did not survive the long trips!

Cheers

Hi again

"Jake's space grab bag" has now the shape of a new box and is on its way to Philip in Belgium. It should get there within ten days.

Let's try and get this moving a bit faster!

I hit the wrong button...anyway, I would love to get something from the goody bag for this big auction project I am working on. The event is in April, so you think that I have a chance? Is this bag something like take an item, leave an item? Thanks for your help, and put me on the list!

Holiday Greetings to all!

Happy to see the Grab bag hasn't gone into the black hole of international postal services, still alive and well. I see the list goes to Maryland Space Gary. I belive the next three are Richard, posted 7/25, Steve Smith, posted 8/1, then myself, posted 8/30. If the next in line after me doesn't mind, I would like to pay RT postage to the founder of this adventure, Jake, who is right up the road from me. He deserves a chance to peruse the contents! Then, I will send it on.

Regards,

Sheila

Sheila,

Great to hear of another Washington collector.... If you get up to the Seattle area please let me know. Let me know offline perhaps what areas in particular that you collect....

jake.schultz@att.net

I never expect to see the package back. This whole thread started with me just wanting to pass along a few of my extras to someone who would appreciat it..... It has grown legs since then.......!

Frederic the "Christmas ornament" Finnish Post-Office box arrived safely !
Trying to be short here;
I took the Boeing T-shirt (makes the package a lot flatter ), a few of the stickers added by Steven Kaplan ( there're lots more no worry ), the old 1969 BIS Spaceflight magazine, the very small 2 inch Apollo lunar rover for my 2 year old son, the ISS litho.
I have added 5 BIS Spaceflight for our US-friends, CD-ROMs with High resoluion scans of Crew-portraits & individual Astronaut portraits ... the latter 2 CD-ROMs took me years to get together, so PLEASE leave these in the box and pass them on ( I have written on the CD-box : Copy onto Your Hard-Disk and pass-on ) ... Hope everybody appreciates this effort !
Best regards & seasons greetings !

Thanks!
