To clarify: I am assembling artwork for a second (expanded) edition of my book. It will include everything I can find, including some work that I made when I was 12 years old! I will also include works that were left out in the first edition. Unless a publisher is interested, it will probably be a book made via an online service, which means that it will be rather costly. It will take a few more months to get everything ready and then I will order a test copy to see what the result will be. But first the stamps! |

So far we have 07 interested subscribers for Ed Hengeveld's 2nd book... that's one per day since the request was launched. The stamps look superb and come just in time for the End-of-year period! |

Ed would have my support for such a venture by a guaranteed offer to purchase (a nice bookshelf companion for the excellent first volume!). |

Book No. 13... and counting.Ed, I hope your book will be numbered and signed. Hope I can get edition No. 13. One more idea: I would also appreciate a collector´s edition from your book: with a signed and numbered print like: "The Eagle Returns". For instance take "For all mankind" or "Moonboot". — Dr. Paul Deister |

My latest painting. I'm still looking for a catchy title. I was thinking about "The General's gloves". |

'Reaching for the Moon' wouldn't be a bad title. Unless the General has any other suggestions... |

A special moment for me: General Tom Stafford is holding the painting I made of his Apollo spacesuit gloves. He was even kind enough to suggest a name for my work: 'Pointing the Way". General Stafford also added his autograph to the back of the painting, next to mine. Thanks to Jeff Soulliere for the photos. |

Work on a 'paper' book is progressing slowly. I don't have too much time to work on it and the high cost is a disadvantage. So in the meantime, we are also working on a book for the iPad. That will be a lot cheaper. |

So how many pre-orders do you need and how much? I think that all of us here would not mind paying some up front money. I am sure there is a minimum number that must be printed, would you consider talking to the printer about doing a second run of your first book such that the printer may cut you a deal on both books? Some of us missed the first book and would love to add it to our collection! |

Is it not a matter of how much I need.Making profit was not my aim for the first book. Everybody paid exactly how much it cost to make their copy of the book. The online printing cost and the added shipping cost made the book rather expensive, so I did not want to add one cent extra as a profit for me. That is probably the way I will work for the second book. It does not make a difference to me if I sell two copies or a hundred. |

I am working with Ed to publish his paintings as an eBook. To whet your appetites here's the proposed cover. We expect the book to be available at the end of February. Initially an iBook version will be available through iTunes and other formats are being investigated. Stay tuned! |

Superb Gary...I hope Ed and you can include some photos of "clients" who bought a painting or astronauts/cosmonauts who received or signed a painting. Always great stuff! Something I've missed in the first book, are some photos of Ed at work during preparation/painting... Hope to see a .pdf version but I'll definitively buy two hard copy books. Can't wait to see the finished result! |

The current plan is to show Ed at work and with some clients (astronauts) he has given works to.Note this is not a physical book - it may look like one above, but this is Apple's way of imagining the book. It will be available for iPad via iTunes and as a PDF only at this time. |

The one catchy title I can think of for the gloves painting is "Glove Story". As usual, it is done to your high standards Ed. |
