A signing fee page will be added to the Spacefest site. We're still working on it.If you want to start planning, the fees should be similar to those at the ASF show, but we can't guarantee they'll be the same. (The astronauts have the final say.) Thanks, Rob at Novaspace |

Cool, I hope they actually come. They were no-shows at San Antonio for some reason. I'd love to meet them. |

That happened at the last Spacefest also... but he was then re-confirmed later. |

We've added some new guests to Spacefest: - Richard Gordon from Apollo 12
- Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood from "2001: A Space Odyssey"
...and some programming notes: - We can take a few more guests at the VIP reception at the Space Museum Friday night ($195 a la carte.) Now you won't have to wait for a Universal ticket holder to cancel!
- The celebrity luncheon has been moved to Saturday. Universal and Galactic ticket holders have the luncheon included, but we have added it as an "a la carte" choice for $125, if you missed the ticket packages as an option.
- The Universal Autograph Collector's Club (UACC) will give a seminar on autograph authentication. Time TBA.
- Apollo astronaut Rusty Schweickart will talk about asteroid diversion, and his recent testimony on Earth-colliding asteroids before the UN.

I was really surprised to see Alan Bean's fee at $240 for Beta cloth items. Whew! I guess I will have to think carefully about what I want to get signed. |

Thanks Charles. I already saw the fee list for Collins but was expecting a G-10 completion price to be included since there was one for A-11.If Collins doesn't charge extra for a G-10 completion then that's okay with me! I just don't want to be surprised if it turns out later that there is and somehow wasn't included in the fee list. I'll write Novaspace to be sure. |

And 50% inflation in 3 months since the ASF show on the base fee ($90 vs $60). |

If you have to ask, you probably can't afford it... I'm really looking forward to SpaceFest. I'll be delivering a talk on a topic I've been tossing about for a few months now. I am told I will be speaking on Sunday (time TBA). I don't know yet who I will be scheduled opposite (if anyone) but I'm hoping to make it very worthwhile for those who choose to come to my talk... |

A few months ago, while flipping through some old space memorabilia auction catalogs, I found myself marveling over what had been saved from the Apollo Program and what had become the most desired collectibles today. That led me to wondering what from the Constellation program would be the most desired and what collectors could do to get a head start collecting those items now (or at least be in a good position to obtain them when they came into existence). If history could be used as a guide, what were the Constellation equivalents to the Apollo artifacts? So I began breaking down the various categories of Apollo collectibles, from autographs to models, artifacts to stamps and began applying them to NASA's present effort to return to the Moon. At first, I thought it would be the basis of an article, but then when the opportunity presented itself to adapt it for one, if not a two events (SpaceFest being the first), I jumped at it. As for my tease about attending the lecture, that I will keep a secret, but I think that the topic alone may offer some interesting insights into the future of our hobby. |

I am unfortunately unable to attend Spacefest this year, although I am in need of having my copy of Alan Bean's "Reaching for the Stars" signed by Michael Collins. I know it's a large item, to be signed by a popular attendee, but if anyone thinks they may be able to help me get Michael Collins' autograph, please email me off line. I would, of course, pay expenses for the autograph and shipping and would be willing to discuss other compensation. Thanks in advance. |

Because of school requirements I can't attend Spacefest. I was wondering however if anyone could help me get some autographs on the group shot I got from the ASF photo opp. I would love to get the astronauts who are attending Spacefest and who are in the photo to autograph my item. If anyone thinks they can help I would be deeply grateful. I can be reached at the email posted on my profile - thanks so much folks! |

Due to a strained budget at the moment, I am unable to attend Spacefest 2009. If there is someone who is attending that is willing to get a photo or two signed for me by test pilot Al Crews, I would be extremely grateful. If so, please e-mail me off-list. Thanks! |

It's great that Colin Burgess is attending Spacefest this year. Now we can all get our copies of "Into That Silent Sea" and "In The Shadow of the Moon" signed by both authors!I went to Wikipedia and discovered that Colin has written many other space books as well. With the rare opportunity of having Colin appearing at Spacefest to sign his books, you might want to check out the list here so you can take full advantage of his appearance. Bruce Moody |

Hi Bruce,Yes, I'm certainly looking forward to Spacefest; in fact I booked my flight tickets from Australia just yesterday. It will also be a great opportunity for long-time friend Francis French and I to catch up over a few days. I had a quick look at that Wikipedia site you mentioned and was truly surprised at the amount of information on there. I don't know who compiled this, and I certainly didn't have a hand in it, but essentially it's quite accurate. It's certainly a nice and obviously humbling thing to see. Colin |

A quick reminder to all international visitors to Spacefest, that you now need to apply for Electronic System Travel Authoristaion to enter the USA.Failure to do so may result in being refused entry! Thanks Mike Constantine http://moonpans.com |

I've already completed my ESTA. It's very easy, and is basically the information you'd fill out on an arrivals form before reaching an international detsination. Just your name, DOB, passport details and an address where you'll be staying is most of it.Colin |

Any word on the scheduled times for the signings? With Collins only doing the signing on Friday, it is very important to announce on how long on Friday he will be signing (for those of us arriving mid day on Friday)? |

Gregg, I had the same problem with mine, so I just copied and pasted it on to an email, than sent it to Novaspace. I explained to them that the link wasn't working. I received an email from Randy at Novaspace telling me my meal and seat selection has been accepted and I was set. You can try doing it that way. Good luck, Steve O'Leary |
