Nolan also mentioned that there would be 4 buses on the bus tour and that Guenter Wendt would be on one of the buses. Nolan was hopeful to have a celebrity on each bus. How fun will that be? I think seating or bus selection would go in order of Platinum then Gold. What ticket and when you purchase it might determine what bus you will be on. Looking forward to a week in Florida this summer. Mike and Miranda Myer Humboldt KS |

Would be happy to oblige if the conditions of our agreement between Delaware North and KSC didn't prevent us from doing so. Suffice it to say, you won't be disappointed should you be one of the lucky ones joining us. Hope to see you there! ------------------ Steve Hankow http://www.farthestreaches.com |

It's a shame that the inside of the VAB cannot be accessed because of the presence of pieces of the SRB. I remember that being the highlight of the tour in the 1970's.Going into some of the more restricted areas that are not on the public tours can be very cool.

I just saw this auction on e-Bay to sit at Wally Schirra's table at the UACC show.110102130940 I wonder if a lot of the seats at the show are going to be auctioned off rather than being offered to Platinum, Silver, etc, pass holders in the order in which they signed up? ------------------ John Capobianco Camden DE |

To answer your question, VERY few seats are being auctioned off. We are doing this strictly as a marketing tool more than for any other reason. For those of you wishing to attend, Nolan is taking reservations at this time. All contact information is available on our home page at www.autographshows.net. More announcements are expected, so stay tuned.... ------------------ Steve Hankow http://www.farthestreaches.com |

All the same it does seem to make it 'one chance less' at some tables for those of us who paid premium prices for platinum tickets to try and ensure we had the best possible chance of our preferred seating...I would be a bit disappointed to find out I had paid platinum prices for tickets, as well as thousands of dollars in international airfares, only to be pipped by someone winning one of these auctions. Yes, I do understand, but what about astronaut's bringing their wives or girlfriends or other VIPs such as the organizers or even my own date for the banquet (anyone interested?). Is that "pipping" the paid ticket holders as well? It stands to reason that to bring an event like this to fruition, some number of seats will need to be utilized by show organizers for purposes of marketing, which in turn furthers our advertising efforts, ultimately increasing attendance. Do your remember the phrase, "Without the bucks, theres no Buck Rogers."? Well it certainly applies here. Lastly, if you reread my post you'll see that I stated, VERY FEW seats will be handled this way. Meanwhile some interesting things are developing such as: - The PadLeader agreeing to ride along and provide commentary on one of the bus tours
- Guenter has also graciously agreed to be one of our lecturers.
- Look for a giveaway item that involves something flown to the moon!! I'm not kidding and it's not an MFA medallion.
- Look for other guest announcements
Folks, having an event like this at KSC will offer many perks yet to come so consider your choices carefully. There are many reasons to join us at KSC and as I have recently learned, yet another is that Gene Kranz promises this to be his last autograph signing event. I wouldn't want to miss an event of this stature if I were you... Again, can't suggest strongly enough to book both your tickets and hotel arrangements at your earliest convenience in order to receive the discounted rates and best choice of available seating. ------------------ Steve Hankow http://www.farthestreaches.com |

How easy will it be to get certain items into KSC for the show to get the astronauts to sign? I know people have had some pretty impressive pieces of hardware signed in the past... Will the security allow large heavy metalic items and the like on site? It would be a shame if someone turned up with something like Ray's Lunar Orbiter only to be told it would not be allowed through security. |

Sims and Hankow Enterprises is proud to announce Space Shuttle Astronauts Robert “Hoot” Gibson and Jon McBride will be participating in the UACC Autograph Show at Kennedy Space Center on June 7 – 9, 2007. Both astronauts were among the very first class of space shuttle astronauts (a.k.a Thirty-Five New Guys) and are a class act. Their appearance is courtesy of our partner, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, and proceeds generated from their autographs will go to the scholarship program.Sims and Hankow are also arranging some special “perks” for ticket package holders including private rides on KSC’s new Shuttle Launch Experience opening in late May and front of the line access to other cool attractions. Silver and Gold ticket packages include bus transportation with the astronauts to and from the KSC for the show and dinner. Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime weekend! For more information or to purchase ticket packages, log on to http://www.autographshows.net. Tickets are going fast. More announcements are expected very shortly so stay tuned. ------------------ Steve Hankow http://www.farthestreaches.com |

Needless to say security is always a concern but have NO reason to believe that collectors will be prevented from bringing in their personal items. For any of you with items of a very unusual nature, feel free to contact me off list, but again, don't foresee problems in this area... ------------------ Steve Hankow http://www.farthestreaches.com |

We are pleased to announce that Apollo 17, CDR, Eugene Cernan will be joining our stellar KSC line up in June. Captain Cernan will be signing in our autograph showroom for 1/2 day on Friday June 8th and all day on Saturday June 9th. He will also be joining us at the Gala Banquet in the Apollo Saturn V Center on Saturday evening. For those of you who are counting, we have now confirmed 5 MOONWALKERS and 2 MERCURY Astronauts as well as quite a number of other astronaut & non-astronaut guests, including Flight Director Eugene Kranz. Gene has shared with me that may well be the last event of this sort he will be attending for sometime to come, so I encourage anyone wishing to spend up close and personal time with "White Flight" to join us at KSC in June. In addition to autographs, there are several other activities planned for your enjoyment, including a film screening, lectures, admission to KSC's brand new Space Shuttle Experience, IMAX, Astronaut Hall of Fame, Tours and the always amazing ASF Silent Auction which will include Artifacts and Experiences donated by the Astronauts themselves. Kennedy Space Center is truly a great venue for this sort of event but would be remiss to not also mention the benefit of being surrounded by many area beaches and a multitude of other attractions. For those of you who haven't noticed it on our show site www.autographshows.net, Silver, Gold and Platinum Pass holders will receive complimentary transportation between our preferred area hotels and KSC for all three days of this event, including the Gala Banquet. Lastly, not wanting to let the cat out of the bag, but we're also planning on giving to our attendees, an an absolutely authentic Apollo "flown to the Moon" artifact. Please don't ask because I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise, but it's a pretty cool door prize to say the least . Our website will be updated shortly with regard to additional guest announcements, lecture schedules, tour info and etc. Tickets are still available by contacting myself or Nolan using contact information found on our webpage at www.autographshows.net. Thanks to all for your continued support..... ------------------ Steve Hankow http://www.farthestreaches.com |

We've received several requests from local season pass holders asking to purchase a Gala Banquet ticket only for our upcoming KSC event. To address these requests, we are making a limited number of banquet only tickets available for $150 each. The specific seating location for those purchasing these tickets will be at the discretion of Sims/Hankow Ent. and based upon availability after Platinum, Gold and Silver ticket holders have made their seating choices. This "Banquet Only" ticket will not include those other features offered with our Silver, Gold or Platinum packages. Do I need to pay the KSC addmittance price if I ONLY want to attend the autograph show ? Does anyone know ? KSC is a fabulous place to see but I have seen it a ton of times since I live so close. My advise is if you are looking for something specific then purchase it before you go to the show. I wanted to get an Apollo roll out photo signed last year and everyone was telling me how large the selection was. Well there were no roll out photos from any Apollo mission. This year I am purchasing some of my photos now. Some I will purchase before the show and others I will get at the show. The ones at the show are OK but they are the usual ones. If you see something that catches your eye or if you have something special in mind then get it now. It may cost more but you will be sure you will have it. Nothing wrong with the photos they sell at the show. The price is right and the quality is good too. Mike |

Enterprise, Payless and Sunshine car rentals have some reasonable rates. I'm sure that Kayak or Sidestep will be a good guide. It all depends on the type of car that you want. [my legs and back just don't do compact cars anymore]. $30 o/w is a great deal for the shuttle - but a car will also give you a good place to stash your stuff and gives you the ability to come and go wherever and whenever you please.
