First, I apologize for the late notice but we now have in stock both the three-man, two flag ISS 13 and ISS 14 patches from AB Emblem (as pictured above).

Second, I received today a reply from NASA PAO regarding the ISS 13 patch and its different versions:

quote:
The graphic with the flag is the most official.

There were a couple of versions of the Expedition 13 crew patch because there were some changes, such as the addition of Thomas. The Astronaut Office approved the production order of the patch before the version with the German flag was realized.

Therefore, while the three-man, three-flag version is the "official" insignia, the three-man, two flag version is the "official" patch.

Went to the KSC Visitor Center last weekend and they still have the 2-name, 2 flag versions. The employees were ignorant to the 3-name 2 flag versions and in either case will not offer them until their current stock is sold.

Yes, as noted above, the 3-name, 2 flag patch is the only version we now stock and ship.

Hi Robert, I was referring to the "free replacements" for those of us who ordered 3/2 patches and got 2/2 patches after the website was changed.

Yes, just drop me an e-mail at buyspace@collectspace.com with your previous order number (if known) and shipping address and I'll see that the replacement patch is mailed.

The Expedition 13 crew have added their insignia to the collection of mission decals aboard the ISS. Interestingly the Expedition 13 crew have added two decals to the collection - one with two flags and two names and a second with three flags and three names. The two flags and three name insignia is nowhere to be seen! The ISS mission insignia can be viewed in the following NASA photo: ISS013-E-75815

This is my first post to this forum, but I've been lurking awhile since I enjoy collecting space patches.

Anyway, I stumbled upon an interesting variant of the EXP 13 patch that I haven't seen documented any place else. It's a three name, two flag version, but the US flag/stripe is not the stars and stripes, but three bands of red, YELLOW, and blue. The other flag/stripe is still the Russian flag.

I purchased it from the Space Store in Houston, who claims that AB supplies their patches. However, their website still has an image of the two name, two flag.

Does anyone know anything about this variant, or at least seen it elsewhere?

Hi, here is an even clearer photo of the 3 name/3 flag patch and here is one being autographed by Jeff Williams.

I think I am going to put in a request to NASA and the President for that panel right now!

And here's the two flag/three name version onboard the ISS in what appears to be embroidered patch form.

Just behind Anousheh, that's a three-name, three-flag embroidered version, isn't it? So who produced this, and is it available anywhere?

Luc, those patches hanging up there was purchased from me. I was told they would be onboard but really didn't believe the person was serious. Thanks for pointing them out.
