NASA "Flight Deck of the Future" insignia

Earlier this year, Jorge Cartes and I were contacted by the NASA team behind the "Flight Deck of the Future," who are working to bring together interdisciplinary talent to design innovative and integrated human interfaces for the next generation of crewed spacecraft.

They needed a logo. Jorge and I were only too happy to help.

The two F's form a set of "wings." The Vitruvian Man wears a head mounted display and an electronic textile garment. The eye looks out at the future of space exploration: Earth orbit, the Moon and Mars. The five stars represent the five human senses they are trying to incorporate into their design.
