What's the current status of John Casper?After July 13, 2016, his NASA bio was moved to Former Astronauts. Now he is back to Management Astronauts. |

"John Casper is retired" so his NASA bio is moved to Former Astronauts on Sept. 1. |

What's the current status of Bill McArthur?On May 4, his NASA bio was moved from Management Astronauts to Former Astronauts. By the way, Anna Fisher is still listed as Management Astronaut. |

The updates are sporadic. Donald Williams still isn't listed as deceased more than a year after his passing, even though others who have passed away after him are listed as such. Astronauts sometimes remain on the active or management list for months after their status changes. I suppose it isn't a high priority and not the most critical information one needs to have at one's fingertips, but I would think it only takes seconds to do an update.It's interesting to note that some astronauts leave with a press release, and others like McArthur just quietly slip out the door with no mention. I presume it's a matter of personal choice. |

Reid Wiseman is now listed as a management astronaut. Bummer... really enjoyed following him in space. Something more genuine on his social accounts. Hope he flips back to active like Stephanie Wilson did. |

Rex Walheim is now listed as a management astronaut (from June 28th, 2018). |

Walheim already serves as an Asst. Director to the Flight Crew Directorate, since 2016.His bio does not show any other updates.  |
