It is not an autopen. There are too many differences from the exemplars. I think it is an authentic autograph. |

If this was intact a perfectly genuine autograph could anybody help put a value on it? |

If this is an authentic Ed White autograph, it would have a very high value, probably over $1,000. However, we need a closer view of the signature. Where did you get it? If you purchased it, where did the dealer get it?Your photo of astronaut Ed White is in very low resolution. I tried to make a copy, but it may be too small to determine if it is genuine. Can you make a high resolution image of just the signature? What is on the back of the photo? |

It's not an official litho, it has no writing on the back. The seller purchased it from Donnis Willis at Lunar Legacies around 1999 - 2000.

It's real. Donnis wouldn't sell it if it wasn't, anyway. Retail or dealer price? |

You should have said that to begin with. You therefore have a COA. How much did you pay for it? Can you scan the COA? |

Thanks to Steve, Kim, LM1 and everybody else that responded, I really appreciate it.I have yet to receive the item but the seller has indicated that it is not an official litho and has no writing on the back I asked him was there any damage to the photo and replied "there are no dings on the edges but there is a small round mark by the ear which is difficult to notice unless you're looking" I have seen a up close photo of this and looks fine. The reason I asked for advise on cS was because the seller only claims it was purchased via Donnis Willis at Lunar Legacies around 1999 - 2000. It does not have a Lunar Legacies COA (Sorry LM1) so that's why I was asking cS members for there opinions. This was a rare opportunity that I saw. I followed the sale of this item for around three months and got good professional advise. Then I seized the opportunity and got myself an "affordable" unpersonalised White. Its going to go deep into my collection (because I never thought I would own a signed White) and I am not looking to resell it but was just wondering in this climate what would a photo like this go for? Just to see how well I actially did or did not do. To answer Kim's question: I am a buyer so I would be looking to find out the retail price? |

Great purchase. Ed was a real hero to me after Gemini IV. Here's a photo to remember Ed by: |

That image of Ed White is my absolute favorite astronaut image from the entire Apollo program. I've admired that image since first seeing it a kid. Naturally, this is my favorite MFA poster.... |

Not to nitpick, but that image is technically from Project Gemini. |

Thanks for pointing out that oversight. And actually, the image on the poster is taken from the photo that is my favorite. Two brainfarts in one post... not bad. My birthday is tomorrow and I guess the years are taking their toll. |

I asked the seller about a COA when he purchased the White from Lunar Legacies. He told me he purchased the item form Donnis' website and never received a COA. He also told me that he purchased a few items around 1999 - 2000 and doesn't recall Donnis ever sending a COA with any of the items he purchased. Maybe Donnis only started to include COA or receipts after that or on request but as far as the seller can remember he did not receive any. Great to see other member White collection. What a signed photo you have "BenFairFax" |

Would like to hear a bit of information on the actual White photo. Where and when was the photo taken and for what mission? Thanks. |
