Any thoughts as to authenticity of these two supposed Goddard signature cuts?Acquired from eBay a few years ago. No COA. If either is real, what would be a reasonable asking price? Thanks for any information that can be supplied. |

In checking with some of my own Goddard autographs (2) and with some copied letters of his in my files, overall, I am not completely happy or satisfied that either cut signature is indeed authentic.Granted, while I have very little evaluation autograph experience with America's father of rocketry, there appears to be more than three major concerns that I have with each of them. I also have a cut signature from a letter of Dr. Goddard, however, mine does differ in some patterns that I am just not too comfortable with in comparison with your signed pieces, but especially with your first signature sample. With a genuine cut signature of the rocket pioneer from a letter, but with no date nor letter content, I would place a estimated value of at least a few hundred dollars and possibly more if the cut signature was a better sample.
