Thank you for your kind words. Each chapter does begin with a full-plate image which we deliberately selected as the most well-known from that mission. This was in response a request from our publisher to provide a reference point to less "space sophisticated" readers.

Just received my copy. Really is a fantastic tribute and record of this golden age of space flight. The images are superb. Can't wait for the Apollo volume.

Love this note I received from Gary Schroeder after he received his book...
I just received my copy of "Spaceshots" yesterday and it was just as good as I hoped it would be. Of course, the images are terrific but what really impressed me was the detail included in the captions. Rather than saying "John Young poses next to a Gemini adapter," it actually says "the sphere on the left is X and the sphere on the right is Y." Wonderful details for the manned spaceflight enthusiast. Kind of a "made for us by one of our own" situation! Kudos to all of the contributors. My only wish is that each image could have been reprinted full-page... but that would require a 120 lb., 1,500 page book.

So, the other day both my Project Mercury/Gemini book and Apollo book arrived together. Beautiful books!

My wife is pleading with me to put them down once in a while, eat something, don't stay up all night, go to bed, function like a human. [smart ass grin] I can't put them down.
