Glynn Lunney has produced an autobiography covering his career at NASA from joining the agency in 1959 through his retirement. No doubt a must read from a legendary Gemini and Apollo Flight Director.

I hope he'll be selling signed copies at the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation show next month.

Most likely — they have book-centric pricing on the Autograph Pricing page.
Signature: $40
Book with signature: $50
Book only: $20

Looks like he won't ship book on Amazon to UK. Can't be as difficult as getting something to orbit the Earth.

So where (on Earth (!)) can you buy a copy (eventually signed but let's not push it)?

I don't know if anyone else has made this offer yet, but I'd be willing, for members of cS community, to buy the copies off Amazon for you and ship them overseas in exchange for the cost of book, shipping, and $1 to $2 US for my time in filling out the customs form and getting it to the PO.

With the way Amazon's shipping is set up, it would likely cost less than you'd have to pay to get it shipped if that option were available through them.

Let me know by e-mail if you're interested.

(I just ran the numbers. Total cost would be around $54 US plus my aforementioned gratuity/premium.)

Perhaps book sellers will buy up copies and sell to overseas.

I bought a signed copy of this book from Lunney today at the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation show. Just started thumbing through it. Looks like a good read. A lot of ASTP stuff in it. Super nice guy.

My understanding is that Lunney is working towards making copies of the book (signed and unsigned) available for order. As soon as I learn more details, I will share.

Any news on that front (shipping that is)?

And has anyone read it?

I have a copy of the book, and it's basically an expansion of his chapter in "From the Trenches of Mission Control." Most of the additional material appears to detail his work on the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project.

Thanks for the info. Which version of the Trenches of Mission Control do you refer to? I have the 2011 Blurb edition. Thanks.
