Similar to the magazines of the Apollo Hassleblad being online, I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where the full magazine contents for Skylab and/or the Apollo Soyuz Test Project are online? If not, then perhaps a facility where I can read the contents of the film mags?

The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth has "many" photos from these missions, although the number varies (5 for ASTP, but 4,591 for the Skylab flights).

The user interface is somewhat non-intuitive, but handy instructions for the site were posted in a previous cS thread.

Unfortunately, images of crew activities are not included in the 'Gateway', except for the Apollo missions.

As the site is mainly about earth photographs, I don't understand why the Apollo images are included at all. I am not complaining, but I wish they would just post all the onboard photos of every mission...

I can dream, can't I?

I am working on securing hi-res versions of the lesser known crew activity images. There are no freebies involved in this area, so it will be another eventual cash transaction with the NASA sanctioned photo lab. But look for some very cool images on upcoming Skylab image discs later this year.

JL, I am looking for anything that has the crews using the TV camera/VTR system on board.

Wonderful 'new' Skylab image on the Mike Acs Flickr account. Where to find a better scan?

The scan on Flickr is high resolution, so I am assuming you mean color and contrast? I spent about 2 minutes in Photoshop on this version, someone with more time could do an even better job —

Here are two versions of Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) launch photo 75PC-388. The second image is a film strip. Is that 35mm film?

That bottom frame looks like 70mm, but with the image vertically registered onto the strip.

What are the guy wires at left supporting? There is also a cable going down from the swing arm 9 area, just to the right of the White Room. What is that?
