Has anyone had success with Joe Kerwin recently? I was just wondering what the turn-around time was. Thanks. |

I sent a Skylab litho to him and received it back signed in about 2 weeks. This was about two months ago. |

I sent him an item on Feb. 1, 2004 and got it back signed on Feb. 7, 2004. Speediest return ever! |

What is Kerwin's signing practice? One signature lifetime or one at a time? |

I sent Kerwin a letter asking if he would sign a book page already signed by Paul Weitz. I haven't heard back yet, but I only mailed it Jan. 28, 2004.In the meantime, does anyone know Kerwin's policy regarding multi-signed items? |

I sent Dr. Kerwin a book several years ago already signed by dozens of astronauts. He signed it and sent it back in less than two weeks, so he has no problem with multi-signed stuff. I'd like to know if his is a once per lifetime request though. I have a picture I'd like to send now. |

No through-the-mail response known from Kerwin since his retirement. |

There may be some exceptions, sent a request with Skylab cover Sept. 2002 and got back the cover signed March 2004, so maybe it's worth a try. |

As a note, 2002 was before his retirement, I have a request out since April 2004 (post retirement) with no response. |

Can any cS members speak to Joe Kerwin's current signing practices? I would very much like to get his autograph on my copy of Homesteading Space. Will he sign through the mail? His attendance at events seems to be rare these days. Thanks.Editor's note: Threads merged. |

He no longer signs through the mail. He will be at Spacefest at the end of this month if you know anyone who can get the book signed for you. Steve Gruber on this website will do it for a small, very reasonable fee. |

I don't think he's scheduled to be at Spacefest. |

I will be at Spacefest but he is not listed as a guest... unless he is going to sit in on the Skylab panel? |

Bean, Weitz, Lousma, and Gibson will be there, but Kerwin's not on the list. |
