It seems that NASA's Johnson Space Center is getting ready to launch a new oral history project with a much wider target for subjects. From their daily employee e-newsletter dated for today:
Establishing a JSC StoryCorps Program

What is StoryCorps? StoryCorps is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind. Millions listen to the broadcasts on public radio and the Web.

The JSC Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) is interested in establishing a JSC StoryCorps Program. Here is your chance to produce your own movie (15 to 30 minutes) about your NASA experiences. The CKO will provide the platform for sharing your firsthand personal experience by hosting your DVD on our Web site and advertising it for you.

Our goal is to make that experience accessible to all and find new ways to inspire people to record and preserve the stories important to them. Just as powerful is the experience of listening. Whenever people listen to these stories, they hear the courage, the humor, the trials and triumphs of an incredible range of voices.

All times are CT (US)
