In the words of Chris Kraft, "a true hero of the space age" and "one of the outstanding contributors to the exploration of space of the last four decades."

Many happy returns!

Funny thing is I still think of all of these guys as in their 30's! I realize intellectually they are all aging, but I still see them as 35 or so when I think of them. I think thats the age I'll always see when I envision Lunney, Kranz, Charlesworth. I must admit, I think of Kraft as being in his 40's, I guess it's because of his fatherly-like leadership role.

Same here, hlbjr.
I was stunned after not seeing any contemporary photos of Gerry Griffin for awhile to discover he's... well, he has less hair.
Of course, in my mind's eye I still see myself in my 30's too, and I avoid mirrors whenever possible.

Have a Happy, Glynn Lunney!

Or possibly because he was in his 40s during the Apollo program, which is the period of time in which we mentally place all of them...
