Astronaut Jim McDivitt, of Apollo 9 and Gemini IV, will be in Tucson in late April for a private signing with Astronaut Central. Deadline for receipt of orders and items is Monday, April 10.

I emailed to inquire several months ago if there was any chance of Jim McDivitt doing a signing in the future and I was told there might be something in the works. I am so glad to hear it worked out. Thanks Rob!

I've never used one of these signings before and did not see this in the information. Do you have any issues with scale models shipped double-boxed for protection?

Can you use the same double-boxing for the return shipment? Thank you.

No problem with double-boxing to us. If the boxes are still sound after arriving here, we will try to reuse them. If we cannot be reused, we will box very well for return.

We may not end up with actual double-box if we do it ourselves, but we use double-thick corrugated cardboard, with plenty of padding. If you have special instructions, write them on the order form.

For what it's worth, in my experience if Novaspace packs something for shipment, then the package would survive even if the mail truck were to drive through a thermonuclear blast.

All times are CT (US)
