Please use this topic to discuss the fourth of SpaceX's 12 contracted Dragon cargo flights to the International Space Station under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) Program.

Saturday's launch attempt was scrubbed due to rain showers and clouds. The next launch opportunity is Sunday morning at 1:52 a.m. EDT (0552 GMT).

SpaceX's Dragon is flying free and beginning its pursuit of the International Space Station. The spacecraft separated from its Falcon 9 rocket after a successful climb to orbit that began at 1:52 a.m. EDT with an on-time liftoff from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 40.

Fantastic launch! I was able to see the first stage flight between the clouds here in the Savannah area. It was wonderful seeing a vehicle heading to the ISS again!

About 10 seconds or so after launch, it appears that some part of the strongback gantry is sprouting flames. Anyone know what that is?

Also, there were reports prior to launch that under good weather conditions, the launch would be visible (as was the shuttle) in the northeast. Anyone north of the Carolinas get a view of the early morning launch?

Cloud cover prevented it here in New York.

All times are CT (US)
