The band Depeche Mode is giving select fans the opportunity to do a fan takeover of their Facebook page for a day. Today's takeover is being moderated by ESA astronaut Tim Peake.

The ESA Facebook page is even responding to some of the comments. It was a big surprise to see his image on the bands news feed this morning.

Hi everyone, I'm Tim Peake, British astronaut with ESA, and I'm delighted to be your guest moderator for today. Huge thanks to the band for inviting me to take part in this Fan Takeover!

Having been a teenager in the '80s, it won't come as a surprise to learn that I'm a big Depeche Mode fan myself and even listened to some of their tracks during my stay on the International Space Station last year. I was launched into space with my colleagues Tim Kopra and Yuri Malenchenko in December 2015 and stayed there for six-months until June 2016.

Today I'm going to be sharing some stories from space and relating them to my favourite Depeche Mode tracks.

All times are CT (US)
