Many of you know Jorge Cartes who goes by the name (KAPTEC) here on collectSPACE - and you know of our collaboration on flight crew patches. Thanks to cS and our work we have become more than friends.Well "Mi pequeno hermano" (my little brother) has to enter the hospital for some tests because he's not at 100%. I won't go into details to respect his privacy. But I am sure that Jorge would appreciate if we extended our best wishes that everything goes well. When I hit my knees tonight I will say a prayer for him and I ask that those of you who do - pray for him too. Thanks, Tim |

Here's hoping for a successful test(s) at the hospital along with a quick recover so that you can get back to designing more space patches with Tim. My wife and I will keep you in a thoughts and prayers. God bless, Jorge! |

Jorge, I do not know you personally, sorry, and, I'm sure if you did, you would be sorry! I do however know Tim, and, I'm giggling here, but I know who he is, and what he is, and his words about who you are, quite simply are gold. I do however know your work, and I know when I do not feel well, all art stops. And if you are like me, that is not good, so, you must get well. My prayers go out to you tonight (after my Häagen-Dazs of course), again get feeling better, so we can meet.I can then introduce you to my brand of humor. Steve |

Am I too late for a hug? Jorge, I'm sorry I didn't know before now that you weren't well. So I hope very much you are doing MUCH better by now!! Coincidentally, I was in the hospital a couple weeks ago, fortunately briefly. Isn't the BEST part when you leave, and you walk (slowly) out the front door and you can suddenly smell the trees and feel the sunshine on your face? Somehow I think you probably had that experience too. Anyway, I'm very glad that you are out now, and I send you tons of healthy good wishes! Anne |

Okay, now a lighter note. Once, when I just started mailing with Jorge, he sent me a short note, telling me that he would not be able to answer right away, because he had to go to hospital for surgery. I waited for good news the whole evening and finally, he got back to me. So I asked: "Did everything go well? I hope it was not too serious!" Everything went well and it was not too serious, he told me. He explained: "Erik, I am a medical doctor myself and I had to PERFORM surgery!" We had a good laugh about it. I had to think about this when I first saw this thread, but wanted to make sure my vriend was well before sharing it! Let's work on some more globes and ISS's Jorge!!! |
