Ok, I know you all (most) think that these people are out of their minds, but you gotta at least go see the pictures....

from Apollo 17, a robot's head on the lunar surface.....complete with text of Schmitt and Cernan discussing (somewhat) what they are looking at.....

Thanks Gene

I had noticed over the last day or two, that I was getting hundreds of hits from Google by people searching for the words,"Shorty Crater" all going to the 'Shorty Crater' VR page on Moonpans.com.
http://moonpans.co.uk/vr/apollo17_shorty.htm

I couldnt for the life of me, understand why all of a sudden, "Shorty Crater" had become such a popular search term.

Now I know why, this story is all over the internet, so all the hits are coming from a lot of gulible people trying to find C3PO's head in the bottom of Shorty Crater!

Now why didnt I think of that?

Thanks

Hope everybody saw the new High resolution photos of the well-known " Face on Mars " ... no face at all, just an odd shaped plateau ... as serious space buffs already knew

Philip,
yep, we knew.
But the contrary would have been way more cool...and my bet, somebody would either be on Mars or on its way to figure it out.

Chris.

The Coast to Coast AM people have promised that they will try to get an "official" comment/word from Cernan and/or Schmitt through a "third-party" astronaut that they regularly talk to. So that will be interesting.

They do know and use and reference the Apollo Lunar Surface Science Journal....which is where their "transcripts" come from.....

From the radio discussion, I had hoped the pictures would be much clearer than they turned out to be....

I, personally, am looking to find picture "head on" of either North or South Pole from space, because I want to see the HOLES that are there....but NASA just doesn't want to show those to me !

Metallic debris? A human skull? Lawyers have a technical term for this sort of stuff.

Crap.
