We have a beach house in Delaware that takes up most of our summer trips, but in mid September the wife and I will be going back to the UK for 11 days. We haven't been there in 4 years and figured it was time to go back and see some of the countryside. We have rented a flat in London near Harrod's and plan several day trips, including one to Paris and an overnight trip to Liverpool to do the Beatles immersion tour.

We haven't been out of the country since a 2004 trip down under to Oz.

Oh, and of course, I'll be in San Antonio.

Kirsten I often fly into East Midlands Airport (although for some reason it is now called Nottingham East Midlands Airport). Loads of the cheap airlines use it, so it makes it cheap for me. They run a shuttle bus to Loughborough train station and then you are on a direct line for Leicester.

Holiday... mmm what's that then???

I had a few day in the capital with the family last month,we had a great time on it. It take around 1/2 hr to go all the way round.

Hello,
Wherever you all go, hope you have a great time. It now looks like we'll be taking a short trip to the Orlando area in August, but unfortunately it will be the week before the next Shuttle launch. I do plan to take a stop at KSC. From looking at the web site, I think the Up Close tour would be the most interesting to my wife and 7 year old daughter. Any sage advice about this tour would be appreciated. How far in advance are reservations recommended? What kind of drive is it from Orlando to KSC, time, traffic etc? This will be my first time there so any info you'd care to share would be appreciated. Thank.
Regards,
Mikie

You mean the 37 degrees in the London area ? Well, this mad Dutch/German spent yesterday on a nice shady airport called Farnborough ... Lucky me there are air-conditioned halls round there ...

Got hold of some IP Bill Readdy autographs BTW. He not only graciously signed my 6 crew photos I had of him but also dedicated his NASA portrait for me. Besides, the booth people had a lady with a digital camera available who took pictures with Mr Readdy which were processed immediately and subsequently signed and dedicated by him. Very nice !!! Unfortunately I learned that Mr Readdy was only there yesterday and today.

Will go there again tomorrow to meet Brian Duffy.

All the best, Kirsten
