Hi All;

I'm planning on a trip to CCAFS later this month, I remember not too too long ago that on sundays you could drive your personal car thru the security check and directly to the CCAFS station to view the exhibits.

Can you still do this or has this ability been removed post 9/11?

A thing of the past! Unfortunately, the Sunday (or any other public access) self drive-thru tours of the Cape are no longer permitted. There were even some restrictions before 9/11, but of course, the 9/11 incident changed everything. Not just the Cape air force station, but also nearby Patrick AFB with no unauthorized public access of anykind allowed.

I'm not amazed, even the Statue of Liberty is closed for the public !
