An interesting photo here from Twitter showing Chris Kraft, Glynn Lunney and others at what looks like the Johnson Space Center canteen:

The heavy hitters in the room, nice one. Great food. Funny how they're "all" eyeing that fish.

Building 45 in the background? So that should be the cafeteria in building 3. I assume that was the only cafeteria at that time.

That photo is from July, 1972 when Soviet visitors were in Houston for ASTP related talks.

Fantastic. Thanks so much.

Any idea who the person is behind Glynn Lunney?

Doug Ward said of the photo:

Nice shot from the building 11 cafeteria, which is adjacent to building 30, mission control. That would be building 45 out the window. Kraft was a snazzy dresser with a great sense of style. Lunney was no slouch.

Jerry Bostick has suggested it is George Jeffs?

Interesting photo but its definitely not space industrial visionary leader George Jeffs of Rockwell, as MartinAir pointed out. I've got a signed picture of him along with some of his letters back in the 70's, but no, not Jeffs!

Buzz Aldrin is in the photo too. Yes, he really is if you look hard.

Oh, but wait, now I do see Aldrin "on the wall."

Which would mean Armstrong is likely there as well, just too tiny to see.

All times are CT (US)
