I am discussing with a guy who would like to sell a lot of old Apollo 11 photos. They are in black and white, rather small (around 11x8 cm) and they have serial number made by hand and printed in the photo with this format 69 HC 750, 69 HC 775 and so on. I didn't find a lot of informations only that HC photo should be in color. Any idea what could be their origin and if they worth something? Sorry for the quality of the photo I cannot get better quality from this person. Edit: I found some of them on alamy website, four pictures on a black paper, exactly the same. |

These photos look like contact prints or small enlargements to select which images will be printed to 8x10 or released to the news media. If I recall correctly, the HC was the code for NASA headquarters. |

Test print quite possibly. I too thought initially that it may have been a contact print but it is not a standard negative/transparency format. |

Thank you for your replies. As the price was cheap I bought the whole set (7 sheets with 31 photos in total), plus few other documents. I should receive it this week and will be able to take better pictures and measurement. |

So I got the parcel and the images.Sheets are 20.7 by 25.4cm (8.1 by 10 inches), they can fit four photos. Each photo including black frame that are approximately 10.2 by 12.5cm (4 by 5 inches), the photos themselve (white frame) are 8.4 by 10.5cm (3.3 by 4.1 inches). On the edge of the photo I can read "Kodak safety film" written in mirror. There is nothing written on the back of the sheets. Other documents are a magazine in french from Rockwell about men on the moon, a leaflet about the Spider module and a card from the US ambassador in France and few picture of Apollo 11 crew. Any hint on where it could come from or what it is, is welcomed.
