I recently purchased a signed Scott Carpenter Mercury capsule similar to the one that just sold in the RR auction. It's one of the ones that is part of the numbered edition.
What's odd is that the base next to the signature isn't numbered. The COA that accompanies the piece is numbered, however. I suspect Mr. Carpenter (or whomever was supposed to write the number) just forgot. Was wondering you all think. These are hard to come by (at least for me) and I really don't want to return it. Thanks!

I know the company and specifically the person who put this series together. It does not surprise me that he neglected to add the number. It all looks good to me.

Is it possible there were units produced over and above the 1,962 numbered units and this is what we are seeing here?
