Someone's offering me the below Yeager at a good price; do y'all think it looks authentic? Thanks!

Do you have any context from the seller that might be useful also?

What were the circumstances of the autograph? Rough timing/year of the signature? Material the signature is on?

Any other info that might be helpful?

Looks good at first blush. What's a "good price"?

Here is a cover I received through the mail in 1976 when Yeager was still signing through the mail.

Here is a scan of a letter I received from Yeager when he returned the above cover.

It matches perfectly to autographs I’ve received from Yeager in person. Looks legit.

Apologies for the delay.

It's unpersonalized and signed in a copy of "Yeager" — if one were to assume it's authentic, that'd probably put it in the mid-80s to 90s.

Under $20, to compensate for a relatively low quality dust jacket and later printing.

Not much one can do about the late printing, but the dust jacket is easily switched out. The book itself is in decent enough shape.

If it's real, I'd presume that the seller acquired it fairly cheaply themselves and priced it to move.

All things considered, $20 is, in my opinion, a good price what it is, assuming it's authentic. Personally, I probably wouldn't pay more than $35 for the same book.
