I was given these two posters and would very much appreciate anything I might be able to learn about them and maybe an approximate value. Thank you!

Well, the most important thing to determine value on the first one would be whether the McDivitt and Schweickart signatures are authentic. I'm not certain, due to the low resolution of the signatures themselves on the image you posted, but they look like autopens. If that's the case, while that is kind of a cool piece, and would probably have a lot of sentimental value to someone who worked at Grumman on that particular project, I'm not sure it's worth anything, really.

That said, I'm not an expert on such matters, and I'm sure someone more qualified than myself will chime in with a more solid response.

EDIT: I'm sorry to bring up an unrelated question, but anyone know why McDivitt was not wearing a wedding ring in at least this and his WSS portrait?

I'll bet that the Cradle of Aviation Museum would like to have that LM-3 poster...

As inscribed along its top, this is a print from a negative that flew on Apollo 9. All of the signatures — the astronauts and all of the team members — are (pre-)printed with the poster's other photos and graphics.

Another copy sold on eBay in February for $8.50. Gene Kranz is selling his personal copy of the poster through Farthest Reaches for $85 (he added his own authentic signature to it).

As for the GE poster, a 1965 version sold on eBay in March for $9.99. A New York vintage poster gallery is offering the 1966 "IIA" edition for $390, but asking prices and values can be two different things.

I took these photos about a year ago at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Garden City, NY; they show similar posters for LM 10 and 12.

I got to talk to Ross Bracco, LM structural engineer, he was/is a docent at the museum and very friendly. I am attaching his picture as well.

All times are CT (US)
