My Mom worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis from 1960 thru 1962. She worked as a secretary in the Engineering department. During this time, she got the opportunity to work with all of the Mercury 7 astronauts.

In July of 1962 my mom was pregnant and going on Maternity leave. As a going away gift she was given an autographed picture from John Glenn Jr. and James S. McDonnell as a going away present. She also received an autograph from all 7 Mercury astronauts. I am wanting (need) to sell to raise much needed money, any idea of values?

Thank you in advance for your insight.

Are the autographs in the second photo of the Mercury 7 astronauts pre-printed or auto-pen, or are they hand-signed? I only ask because the photo itself, in addition to significant physical damage, seems to be quite faded and yellowed, yet the autographs in your photo are consistent in color, and seem to all be done in the same pen. In looking around the web at a few examples of complete Mercury 7 signed photos, virtually all of them I have found are signed with multiple pens, and often different colors. Some of those pens are impacted more than the others by exposure to light, and so the autographs vary in clarity and brightness. The consistency and uniformity of your autographs just seems a but unusual given the other examples.

Please understand, I'm not making an accusation that these are auto-pen or pre-print. I would just like some clarification on the signatures due to the unique nature of the ones on your photo versus what I have seen online, so I thought I would ask the question.
