I wanted to get your opinion on this space station hardware both from an investment and collectability standpoints. Is this something "unique" or special?" I normally would purchase such items from the collections point of view, but I have to consider other factors now. Thanks again, I really appreciate and value your opinions.I really don't know much about the item and did a brief search and came up with the Amphenol Corp and additional site for information.

This would not make a good an investment piece. It's just a flight-qualified connector tool from a NASA contractor. If it had flown on the ISS it would help its value, but frankly, probably not by that much. The station is made up of millions of parts; this is just one of them that didn't fly. Now, I do like the sticker, which has a certain cool factor, but is it worth $30? |

Thanks again for the advice. I did try to negotiate a lower price. I too like the sticker. |

Yep, that is a very cool sticker. But expensive with the postage too. |

I have another bagged and tagged Amphenol Corp. piece (a "protective cap") with the same "Critical Space Station Hardware" decal and inside (the bag is translucent) a tag attached to the cap that reads "Critical Space Station Hardware: Do Not Remove Until Installation."The tags are definitely the attraction. |
