Well, the seller says it was "from the personal collection of a former NASA employee" who wore it "during maintenance and testing of various space shuttles" during the "late-1960's and early-1970's." It has NASA patches on it, so his story must be true, right?

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't touch this listing with a 10 ft pole, unless I was just in need of a cheap Nomex jump suit--the seller at least got the Nomex part right. Flight Suits Ltd, the company that made this (now called Gibson & Barnes--they actually do make NASA's flight suits, but NASA's aren't in this style) was started in 1977 and the tag inside these coveralls looks like the kind they used in the 90's. Further, the first space shuttle wasn't delivered to KSC until 1979. Even further, the patches sewn on look like modern AB patches.

If anyone here placed a bid, I'd suggest trying to retract it.
