I was searching eBay and came across this and other patches that were said to have once been velcroed onto the suits of various astronauts.Would someone please give me an opinion on the value as well as authenticity of such items? Thanks! |

These patches were like the ones that were attached with velcro. Just a souvenir item like the patches you can buy at Kennedy Space Center. |

Thanks for the clarification! Do you know if such patches are available anywhere else as well? |

I have had very pleasant dealings with this eBay seller. I don't think anyone else has these flag and name tag patches available. These are Russian Kentaur-Science products... They make the ISS flight suits. They also have some nice presentation sets for particular flights. It is definitely not in the class of Kennedy Visitor Center patches! Has anyone ever seen a name tag patch there? I wish. |

I guess I should have said I have bought a couple (1-2) name tags of interest to me. However, I have bought all the flag patches flown on the ISS. |

These patches (excellent patches) are examples of flown patches but are not actual flown patches if I read the eBay correctly, |

I noticed that the eBay seller has increased the price from $35 to $55 with just over two days left. This really turns me against sellers when they list an item for one price, then increase it during the bid period. |

I've bought two nametags from him before. These are made by the same company that makes the ISS nametags. I would guess these are either extras or ones that didn't quite meet standards. Either way, they're pretty much identical to the real thing. Definitely not souvenirs. Although they also were not used. |

J Blackburn, I just noticed that as well. Even though the price tag isnt that bad at the changed rate, it really does turn me off from the listing. Just seems a bit unfair to do during the live time on a listing. They should at least wait until it doesnt sell and has to be relisted. Thanks for the input, everyone. Still seems like an awesome item, and one I'd like to see in my collection sometime soon! |

Contact the seller. I've found them to be a reasonable. They sell several different levels of items such as (1) just name tag, (2) name tag plus flag patch, and (3) group mounted on presentation frame. |
