One Giant Leap, Inc. release "We Are Army Strong" United States Army Astronauts PatchInspired by the camaraderie of the Armed Services and in response to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard patches, One Giant Leap asked patch artist Tim Gagnon of Titusville, FL to create a United States Army Astronauts patch for those men and women who have flown in space.  This fully embroidered 4.25 inch patch is stunning with an olive green border and camo pattern border. The shuttle and the ISS are depicted as these are the two programs Army astronauts flew. The stars represent each Army astronaut. In addition, the Hubble Telescope represents the contribution of Nancy Currie during mission STS-109. The astronaut flying the MMU pays tribute to Robert Stewart, who was the first Army astronaut to fly, the second man to fly the MMU during mission STS-41B in 1984 and who retired as a Brigadier General in 1992. His star is a five pointed star. The patch is a limited edition fundraiser for One Giant Leap, Inc. and is $20.00 Shipping is additional via USPS Priority Mail. Domestic add $5.50. As a former US Army officer, I think you did a great job. While I'm not a space patch collector as such, I fully intend on getting two of these to sew onto my space-related gear! |

Just got mine yesterday.These patches are amazing, well worth every penny! the image in this thread doesn't do the finished patch justice. In fact, I might get another one just to hold onto it. |

I'm surprised you have any left. They're great patches, and one I wore at Space Camp this month REALLY turned some heads each time I wore the thing!  |
