One Giant Leap, Inc. release "Join Us and See the World" U.S. Navy Shuttle & Station Astronauts PatchInspired by the camaraderie of the Armed Services and in response to the "ISS is Army Strong": patch, One Giant Leap asked patch artist Tim Gagnon of Titusville, FL to create a U.S. Navy Astronauts patch for those men and women who have flown aboard the space shuttle and International Space Station (ISS). This fully embroidered patch is stunning in Navy Blue, White and Gold. It depicts the ISS in orbit above the Earth. The two spacecraft that Navy Astronauts have flown to assemble, service and serve on the ISS are depicted. Arriving is the Russian Soyuz and departing is the US Space Shuttle. The nine stars represent the nine U.S. Navy astronauts who have served aboard the ISS. All U.S. Navy Captains, they are: William Shepherd, Frank Culbertson, Daniel Bursch, Ken Bowersox, John Phillips, Michael Lopez-Alegria, Sunita Williams, Scott Kelly and soon to serve, Christopher Cassidy. The patch is a limited edition fundraiser for One Giant Leap, Inc. and is $25.00. Shipping is additional via USPS Priority Mail. Domestic add $5.50 International add $15.00. I accept Paypal. If you choose that option add 6% to your order total to cover their fees. Please print and send in this form (PDF) along with your purchase order. If you have any questions please email Bryan McKay. |

VERY nice patch by Tim. I can't help but chuckle at the motto at the bottom; maybe a better phrase would be 'Join Us and See the Sea', taken from the old Navy ditty 'I joined the Navy to see the world, and what did I see? I saw the sea...' |

When Expedition 22/23 flew, I was asked by the crew to design a special "ISS is Army Strong" patch for them. A small number were made for their personal use. Fast forward to this year and I was asked to create a design for the Navy folks who have flown the shuttle and station. I was happy to do so and suggested to the person who asked that we make this a special limited edition patch in support of a non-profit organization, ONE GIANT LEAP, Inc. A 501(c)(3)has been formed to help promote space exploration, math and science in our schools and community. After helping out for many years, a group of dedicated space enthusiast have decided to create One Giant Leap, Inc, a non profit to help schools and our community learn about space exploration, pursue science and math in our schools and educate our community about space exploration. A number of astronauts who have or are serving in the US Navy have seen the patch and while they cannot officially endorse it they think it is a wonderful idea and like the design. I urge you to support One Giant Leap, Inc. and their work. Your support of this project is tax deductible. Thank you for considering. |

Thank you to everyone who is helping out so far. We limited these to a run of about 50 so there won't be anymore after that. Pass the word around to all. |

With over 10 days of donations and sales gone by, we are at the halfway mark so you still have time to buy one. Only about 25 left. |

Last last call! Remember $25 is a donation and it helps us bring astronauts up to New England. So far over 20 thousand kids have heard astronauts speak in the New England area. Shipping will be free for US and $3.00 for worldwide!I am trying to keep these limited so that they don't show up on eBay as a knock off. Tim Gagnon work should never be duplicated without his permission. The Navy astronauts have think the patch is cool. |

I have five left. Please help us out. Our funds were just used to bring astronauts together to discuss Skylab and the ISS. During the event we all walked outside and viewed the ISS heading overhead. Also over 1000 students heard astronauts speak as well during the week! |
