This replica Dyna Soar patch (made by spacepatches.nl and lucreation.net) reproduces the only contemporary patch design produced for the X-20 program. The art is based on a single photograph showing the patch, which showed up in an eBay lot, a number of years ago. Some time later, a button from the 60's also turned up on eBay, displaying a very similar design. These two pictures provided enough detail to produce an authentic reproduction of the unique patch. As the original will be impossible to obtain, we hope collectors will enjoy the next best thing. Only 100 patches were made. If you are intrested in a patch please send an e-mail to: mail@spacepatches.nl |

Since this replica sold out, the Armstrong owned patch has been auctioned:This is different in several respects to the replica. Wondering if anyone is considering producing a new, more accurate replica patch? |

I spoke with Al Crews about this, he states he never saw a patch designed for the program. |

When I saw this patch on when it went up for auction my immediate reaction was "this needs to be reproduced." I am down for the challenge, it will be about 4 weeks before I can start the process, but it should be readily doable. The fact that its on twill will help in reproducing it in a way that makes it feel authentic. |

A while back I found a box with some of these Dyna-Soar patches, all from the original batch made. About 20 of these "replica" patches are still available for 10 Euro + shipping. |

Didn't Crews join the program later than the other pilots? He may have missed it. |

Do you still have these available for purchase and how much would shipping be to Maryland, USA? Are they the same or similar design as pictured in David C's post that was picturing the patch from the Armstrong auction? Thanks! |

World Wide shipping costs are 3 Euro, so the total of 1 patch would be 13 Euros. The patch is the same as in the very first post of the topic. (We wished we had seen the Armstrong owned patch in 2012 when we made this replica.) |

I have Jacques' replica, but I'd definitely be down for a couple of these if you decide to produce them. |

It's possible, but I would think they'd still be in use. |

Are there any photos of the patch from that time? |
