T O P I C R E V I E WJacques van OeneThis replica Dyna Soar patch (made by spacepatches.nl and lucreation.net) reproduces the only contemporary patch design produced for the X-20 program. The art is based on a single photograph showing the patch, which showed up in aneBay lot, a number of years ago. Some time later, a button from the 60's also turned up on eBay, displaying a very similar design. These two pictures provided enough detail to produce an authentic reproduction of the unique patch. As the original will be impossible to obtain, we hope collectors will enjoy the next best thing.Only 100 patches were made. If you are intrested in a patch please send an e-mail to: mail@spacepatches.nlJacques van OeneI have only a few of these patches left, so if you are interested...Jacques van OeneJust an update, I have 8 of these patches left and then it's sold out, so if anyone who does not have one and still wants one just send a mail to: mail@spacepatches.nlalbatronEmail sent. albatronMy email bounced, I'll try again but can you email me at albatron@aol.com? Thanks.(Nope - bounced 3 times.)GoesTo11My email got rejected as well...vanerieJacques: Email bounced. Please reserve a patch for me. Thanks.Jacques van OeneSorry all for the email problems. It should work. But please mail again to: jacqmans1972@gmail.com JBoeJacques, I sent you my payment, let me know if you have any problems. Thanks again!David CSince this replica sold out, the Armstrong owned patch has been auctioned:This is different in several respects to the replica. Wondering if anyone is considering producing a new, more accurate replica patch?albatronI spoke with Al Crews about this, he states he never saw a patch designed for the program. LiemboWhen I saw this patch on when it went up for auction my immediate reaction was "this needs to be reproduced." I am down for the challenge, it will be about 4 weeks before I can start the process, but it should be readily doable. The fact that its on twill will help in reproducing it in a way that makes it feel authentic. Jacques van OeneA while back I found a box with some of these Dyna-Soar patches, all from the original batch made. About 20 of these "replica" patches are still available for 10 Euro + shipping.David C quote:Originally posted by albatron:I spoke with Al Crews about this, he states he never saw a patch designed for the program. Didn't Crews join the program later than the other pilots? He may have missed it.JBoe quote:Originally posted by Jacques van Oene:About 20 of these "replica" patches are still available for 10 Euro + shipping. Do you still have these available for purchase and how much would shipping be to Maryland, USA? Are they the same or similar design as pictured in David C's post that was picturing the patch from the Armstrong auction? Thanks! Jacques van OeneWorld Wide shipping costs are 3 Euro, so the total of 1 patch would be 13 Euros. The patch is the same as in the very first post of the topic. (We wished we had seen the Armstrong owned patch in 2012 when we made this replica.)GoesTo11 quote:Originally posted by Liembo:I am down for the challenge, it will be about 4 weeks before I can start the process, but it should be readily doable.
