The two longest-running and largest online space exploration collectible stores, Countdown Creations and The Space Store, announced today that they have merged to better serve space exploration enthusiasts worldwide. Under The Space Store Network, both websites will share catalogs while centralizing their customer service center in Denver, Colorado.
"We are really excited about the merger of Countdown Creations and The Space Store," said Scott Bleisath, who founded Countdown Creations in 1997. "Over the past 10 years, we have nurtured Countdown to be the leading e-commerce site for space memorabilia. We are proud that together with The Space Store, Countdown's unique space exploration-themed product line will continue to grow."
Both Countdown Creations and The Space Store will continue to operate as separate websites for the near future, while their product catalogs are merged. Enthusiasts can visit either site to find new products related to upcoming space shuttle and space station missions, as well as astronaut Halloween costumes, educational space science kits and unique space memorabilia.
"The Space Store has a long history of offering a wide selection of space toys and collectibles," said Brett Anderson, President of The Space Store. "With the addition of Countdown's catalog, we will now also have the largest variety of mission apparel, space artifacts, spacecraft models and more! As always, we will provide the same high level of service customers of both websites have come to expect."
In addition to their own products, The Space Store and Countdown Creations are also the authorized e-commerce partners for the Challenger Center for Space Education, the National Space Society, Sally Ride Science and collectSPACE.com.
