Are any collectSPACE members attending the Cradle of Aviation Museum's 18th annual Air and Space Gala celebrating the 50th anniversary of Apollo 13 on Oct. 13?
I decided at the last minute to treat myself to a ticket. I'll be driving up from Virginia that morning, enjoying the museum for the day, attending the banquet, then driving back home that night.
Needless to say, I want to make the most of my visit in the middle of four-hour drives. So let me know if you'd like to say hi at the banquet, or if you have any tips about attending it or just visiting the museum.

Yes, my wife and I will be there. I'm at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH. I grew up during Apollo. I would not have missed this event for the world!!!

I just returned home from a wonderful trip to the Cradle of Aviation Museum where I had the opportunity to attend this event.
I cannot say enough about how thankful I am for the way this museum and its staff took care of me. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a delightful time.
I was able to meet and spend some time with Milt Windler. It was a goal of mine to meet him as he was on duty when Frank Borman began his reading of Genesis 1 on Apollo 8 and I had the chance to ask him about that.
Also got the opportunity to meet some collectSPACE members and chat with them as if we were old friends. Always enjoy running into members.
All in all a truly wonderful event and I am happy I was able to attend.

I second that. It was absolutely marvelous. I wrote a report on Apollo 13 when I was in 5th grade in 1971. I now have that report autographed by Gerry Griffin and Milt Windler.
