I can endorse what Buel is saying. A super lecture which questions our present attitude towards risk assertion. Mr Cunningham is never afraid to give his opinion and his views have to be respected. He wants us to shed our fears and go to Mars, but back to the Moon first. Was fortunate to have a short conversation with him and later his wife Dot. She too has had an interesting life as a White House aide to President Reagan. A remarkable couple. Good to see some familiar faces, in particular Chris (Tykeanaut) and his lovely wife Nikki, who whenever I meet them are always very friendly and strike up interesting conversation. I'll forgive them for not selling me a winning raffle ticket! Also to meet Owl and Mrs Owl and be able to put a face to a name. Met Ken W and some of his team from Pontefract, but understandably they were not giving away the name of their guest in April. So thanks to Nick and Bryar and their helpers for arranging a brilliant night and hopefully they can manage more. |

Chris, no problem at all. Yep, I'll be at the Brian Cox, sorry, the Jim Lovell event. I really wish us cS'ers would wear username badges so we can all put faces to names... |

A very interesting personal reflection on the golden days of Apollo and its legacy. Certainly not like any lecture I have attended before. A beautiful large, spacious room yet intimate setting. I was fortunate enough to be sitting next to Walt Cunningham before his lecture and sat next to his lovely wife throughout the event. Both of them I found to be very humble and accommodating. A huge congratulations to Nick and family for pulling this off, and we anxiously await the next one! |

Yes, many thanks to Nick and Bryar for a fantastic Saturday night. If was a full success. The atmosphere was great and Walt was on top form and very accommodating. My photo came out great and Walt topped the evening off by signing it. Wonderful. Many thanks. Next stop... Pontefract. |

I would echo the thoughts and comments of others on what was an excellent lecture event. Many thanks to Nick and Bryar for making it happen and for creating the opportunity for people to meet a real space pioneer from the beginnings of the Apollo era. Thanks too to Walt for the reminder that the need for adventure, albeit with a degree of risk, is all part of the human condition. I don't think I have 'the right stuff' for such an adventure, but can at least live vicariously through those like Walt, who thankfully did. |

Well done Nick and Bryar for putting on a great show. I know some (little) things got to you (H&S army) for one, and was glad to chip in at the start when they finally let you set up camp. Like Rowland I was lucky enough to be on the same table as Walt and his wife. Hope the selfie turn out okay Rowland. Again thank you for what you did... |

Enjoyable evening. Thanks for putting it on. The chap sat helping Walt with the signing at the end was very good. And thanks to Walt - what a top chap he is. |
