I know it's probably a silly question but how do I put a picture inside a post on cSpace?

Do you drag and drop or is there another way to attach the image...

First, a couple of guidelines:
  1. Insure you own the rights to the image you want to post. You may only post photos that belong to you or that you have received written permission from the owner to reprint.

  2. Before uploading, please open the image in your favorite photo editing software and resize the image (if necessary) to be 400 pixels or less wide.
There are several options for adding images:
  1. If you are familiar with HTML, you can use the <img src> tag after hosting your photos on a publicly-accessible web server (e.g. Flickr, Photobucket).

  2. If you are not familiar with HTML but can host your photos on a publicly-accessible web server, you can use UBB code.

    1. Upload the image to a photo hosting service or web server.

    2. Copy the web address (URL) for that image. This address will begin with "http" and end with the name of your file and a file extension, i.e. .jpg, .gif, etc.

    3. Paste (or type in) the address that points to your image into your post where you want the image to appear.

    4. At the beginning of the address (i.e. http) type: [IMG] (including the brackets), such that it appears: [IMG]http

    5. At the end of the address (i.e. picturename.jpg) type: [/IMG] (including the brackets), such that it appears: picturename.jpg[/IMG]

Some photo hosting services will append the to the address such that you do not need to do it again.

  3. If you are not comfortable with (1) or (2) and/or cannot host your photos on a publicly-accessible web server, e-mail them to contact@collectSPACE.com and they will be posted for you...

I have tried to post photos myself and failed. I think step #3 is where I'm messing up. Could someone please explain how to go about finding the proper photo hosting service or web browser? It's probably much easier than I think.

I use Photobucket. Get an account at PhotoBucket. It is easiest to upload the images.

Thanks. That did it. I will use photobucket. Just needed to be steered in the right direction. Just posted my first photo on cS.

Could someone (preferably using Picturetrail, which I've always used) tell me how to post images that can be clicked on and viewed as a much larger version? I've noticed that many members are able to do this. Again, hopefully somebody using Picturetrail knows how to do this, but if there is another way please post that too.

Thanks very much.
