Space Cover #589: TESS

This week's space cover commemorates the launch aboard a Falcon 9 launch vehicle of TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) on April 18, 2018.

TESS is a NASA Astrophysics Explorer Mission led and operated by MIT and managed by Goddard Space Flight Center. TESS was designed to discover thousands of exoplanets in orbit around the brightest dwarf stars in the sky. As of July 4, 2020 TESS is on a extended mission.
