It seems that sometime in the last few years there was a story on collectSPACE saying that JAXA was selling the personal patches for JAXA ISS astronauts to the public through a company. Is that correct and if so which company? |

You may be recalling this discussion about JAXA Goods. |

This page offers two recent JAXA patches for sale. Unfortunately, my repeated emails requesting ordering details go unanswered... anybody speak Japanese here? |

I've even tried a Google Japanese translation and also had no reply. I'm now trying a Japanese friend to try to buy some of these JAXA patches. |

Does anyone know a good source for the JAXA astronaut personal mission patches? The patches for the recent ISS flights seem really scarce, if not impossible to find. Editor's note: Threads merged. |

Granted, it has been a while, but the last time I spoke with a JAXA representative in the lead up to an astronaut's flight, I was told then that the patches were no longer available to the public. It used to be that JAXA would give out patches to the press, but that practice also came to a halt, at least here in the U.S. It would be great if an authorized source for the patches could be established (or identified, if one alreadly exists). |
