To follow up, when I watched the crew arrival for launch it looked like Ray Jay and Drew were wearing the patch with the darker HST. The rest of the crew was wearing the AB version. Or so it appeared.

It looked that way to me too. Today however I just saw a little bit ago when they were in the suit-up room and also the white room that they are all wearing the approved final version of the STS-125 mission patch on their orange launch and entry suits. As well all the suit technicians in the white room.

Is it me or do the patches on this photo look photoshopped on?

Feustel's is overlapping the back of Grunsfeld's suit and they're much sharper than the photo itself.

Patches were photoshopped on crew photos quite frequently.
