Chick-fil-A KSC "Space Station Fun!" Kid's Meal

As part of Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A's long-standing children's initiative of "Growing Kids Inside and Out," the chain announced a partnership with Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for its fall 2008 Kid's Meal premium offering. Designed to educate and inspire the chain's youngest patrons, these exciting premiums feature fun, educational and interactive activities focused around space exploration. The Kennedy Space Center premiums will be available in Chick-fil-A Kid's Meals at participating locations of the chain's more than 1,400 restaurants from Oct. 27 to Nov. 22, 2008.

With the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex partnership, Chick-fil-A continues its tradition of providing premiums that are interesting to children and that emphasize the importance of education. The chain is able to achieve these goals by working in tandem with its premium partners, such as Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and listening to its customers, parents, educators and children.

"We hope that the Kennedy Space Center premiums teach our youngest customers about space and inspire their curiosity beyond their immediate community," said Steve Robinson, Chick-fil-A's senior vice president of marketing. "Through our Chick-fil-A Kid's Meal Program, local Family Night events in the restaurants and outreach to schools and children's groups in our communities, we aim to have a positive impact on the lives of children both developmentally and educationally."

The Kennedy Space Center Chick-fil-A Kid's Meal premiums consist of four different space cases that connect together to build an entire space station. Each case also contains cards with various pieces of fun space trivia.

Complimenting its educational-minded premiums, Chick-fil-A also offers healthful Kid's Meal menu items. In fact, editors of Men's Health magazine recently recognized Chick-fil-A as "America's Healthiest Chain Restaurant for Kids." A Chick-fil-A Kid's Meal includes an entree choice of Chick-fil-A Nuggets (four- or six-count) or Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Strips (one- or two-count) and a variety of side choices, including a Fruit Cup or Waffle Potato Fries and a kid-size beverage choice of milk, apple juice or soda.

Additionally, all of Chick-fil-A's menu offerings - from it entrees to its condiments - have zero grams of trans fat. While Chick-fil-A's core menu items have been free of trans fat since their respective introductions, dating as far back as the chain's first restaurant opening 41 years ago, the chain has spent the last two years working to remove trans fat from the few remaining products, including its popular Waffle Potato Fries, dessert items and, most recently, its breakfast biscuits.
