Steve Eves was on hand Friday night during the Saturn/Apollo reunion. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Davidson Center, next to his rocket. He struck me as a quietly passionate "regular joe" who, through hard work, turned a "cool idea" into something truly stunning.

As a side note, as Robert observed Saturday, the rocket appears to be displayed with a newly-fabricated CM/LES. Presumably, the original flown and signed article is on the creator's shelf.

In a bit of irony, this means that the 1:10 scale rocket is exactly the inverse of the SA-500-D/F it sits next to: Everything but the 'spacecraft' has flown, whereas BP-23 is the only piece of the real stack that has flown.
