I just got one of those black pyramids off eBay with free shipping. Had not realized so heavy. Whew!

It's so heavy I'm afraid to put it on the shelf with my others. Currently sitting on my desk! (Good thing shipping was free. It would have cost more than we paid for it.)

I mainly collect Apollo 8, and my favorite "non-flown" displays are the Owens Corning beta cloth patch and General Motors patch lucites.

Here is another example of "cordwood" electrical circuit construction from the Lunar Module, this time from Ryan.

Would like to know as much about the Ryan Lunar Module Landing Radar lucite display. Can you explain, cordwood circuitry and any other info on the display itself? Thanks!

Another one from the X-33 program and a slightly different Owens Corning Apollo 11 presentation, with the Beta cloth fully trimmed.

Anyone know anything about the piece inside this lucite. It's about 1" long by 5/8" dia., looks to be stainless, and has a through-hole that appears to be threaded. The UA 1205 was the SRB for the Titan IIIc.

Do you think both those Apollo beta cloths done by a private individual or company? Noticed both have no company logo on them, just look like the Owen-Corning ones. Do you know the origin? Thanks!

Not exactly sure of their origin, but they both have the same green felt feet as the Apollo 11 version with the Owens-Corning logo. So that may tell us the lucites were made by the same third-party but intended for different distribution.

Yes, it's glass and pretty heavy. Some of the others also were glass or crystal.
