Does anyone know if there were ever any books or articles published about the fire and rescue teams that would have responded to a pad emergency or post-launch abort?
I've read and seen pictures of the astronaut training but don't recall anything about the fire and rescue teams and procedures.

"Kennedy Space Center Fire Department: The First Thirty Years" by Bill Killen and Lee Starrick. Originally published in 1994. I picked up my copy at the Space Walk of Fame Museum in Titusville. Lee was volunteering there last I knew and he signed my copy for me. Chocked full of photos and information - this is the only book I know of on the KSC FD.
