I'm delighted to announce at long last the release of "NASA's Scientist-Astronauts," which I co-wrote with prolific British author David Shayler. I have just received copies of the book and it is a very nice presentation. At 543 pages it is also a very big book! It should now be available directly from Springer-Praxis, or through most online book retailers. |

Arrived today. Haven't yet flipped through it. Also in the mail was Kennedy Space Center: Gateway to Space by David West Reynolds. Hardcover: 240 pages, Publisher: Firefly Books LtdFrom what I've seen, nice coffee-sized table book- nothing revolutionary though, at least when it comes to the photos. Two of them intrigued me (more on the web somewhere, anybody?): KSC-64C-5638 aerial view of construction of pad 39A in 1964 and KSC-65C-0125 which shows the VAB in construction, 1965. Never seen those before. |

I just re-read the original post by Colin who states this book is co-authored with the prolific author David Shayler. After learning more about Colin, I'd say he is a pretty prolific author as well. Can't wait to get my copy of this new book, and looking forward to more. |

Anyone who has read this book -- care to review or comment on it? I am thinking of ordering it, but there is only one review on Amazon and it is a pretty expensive book for me, so I would like to hear a couple more opinions before I order if possible. Thanks! |

That amazon.com review is mine. As I said in the review, the book is a "must", so I encourage you to buy it. You won't be disappointed. |
