While looking at the Google newspaper archives for old space related stories, I came across this interesting story from the Associated Press in the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix newspaper about John Glenn from about a month after his first orbital flight (March 16, 1962).
Astronaut John H. Glenn, Jr. was cursed and an attempt was made to slug him in an encounter with rowdy teen-agers at the church he attends in Arlington, Va. last Saturday night, police have reported.
