It's a crying shame that the 20th anniversary of her spaceflight to Mir was barely acknowledged by news media here in Britain. Though Helen has kept a low profile over the past decade, I shall always cherish meeting her in person in 1994 during a public speaking event.

She was I thought quite surprised by the large number of collectors queuing to meet her at the signing table.
