One Giant Leap, Inc. (OGL), a non-profit organization founded to help promote space exploration, math and science in our schools and community, is working to bring former NASA astronaut and Eagle Scout Joe Tanner to the First Centennial New England Scout Show at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 23, 2010.

To underwrite Tanner's presentation to the Boy Scouts, OGL has arranged for the mission specialist and his fellow STS-66 crew member Scott Parazynski to sign a limited edition series of high quality prints.

Your choice of authentically-autographed 16 by 20 inch prints of either Tanner or Parazynski can be yours for a donation of only $100. Tanner's photo shows him during the STS-97 mission spacewalking outside the International Space Station. Parazynski's shot has him working as far away from the outpost as one can get while still-tethered, after he delicately repaired a torn solar array during STS-120.

To make your donation and request your print(s), please download, complete and mail-in this order form.

I was watching the Discovery Channel last night and showed Scott and his partner, Dewes Eddy reaching the summit of Everest. Very interesting program.

Good luck with the signing!

I would have suggested also offering an 8x10 option for the signing, however. Nothing wrong with 16x20s, but there are many people (myself included) who do not collect images that size. Also, 8x10s tend to be easier to handle, ship, store, etc. and are less expensive to produce.

Just a suggestion...

I agree with Mark. If 8x10's were offered I would probably participate.

Have you considered contacting OGL to see if you could send the $100 donation along with your own 8x10 to be signed?

One would think a request such as that could be accommodated...

Thanks for this opportunity! I like the 16x20 size since I rotate pictures in my classroom... much more visible than 8x10. My check goes in the mail tomorrow morning!

Thanks to everyone who has helped out. We still have plenty of time and photos for people to still help out. Remember, I wil ship overseas without any extra money. If you need, I can do paypal as well

Everyone in the scouts are really excited to hear and learn from Joe. We are putting on some presentations that day about the history of manned spaceflight with real artifacts and hands on stuff for the scouts and everyone to learn from.

So please help us out!

Thanks!

Thanks to all so far. I need some more help though. I made a bet with Larry McGlynn that we would get at least five orders. He said we wouldn't and if we did, he would match the funds ($500). So in order to win, I need at least one more!

Come on guys, let's make Larry pay up...

It was a great time. Joe and Martha are first rate. His presentation to the scouts was the greatest. He told it along the lines of going on camp out.

I have some extra 8x10- Kodak paper photos left over signed so if you want for a $30 donation. i will send one.

Thanks to all for helping us out.
